Opening Night
We open the second edition of the Queer Arts Festival with a vibrant party at STUK.
Welcome to the Gentle Boys Club where stereotypical gender roles are questioned with an anti-patriarchal slow dance workshop by Lisa Vereertbrugghen. Musicians Porcelain ID and Youniss kick off the party with a tribute to one of the greatest pop icons ever: Prince. The duo brings an extravagant reworking of the legendary Purple Rain from 1984. Meanwhile, you can visit the cinematic exhibition by Uzbek Saodat Ismailova . Or how about the video work by American artist Martine Gutierrez, about gender identity and personal transformation? To conclude, the roof will be blown off at STUKcafé with the Gentle Boys Drag Show and DJs Straight Again and Georgy Gorgeous.
